The biggest family event of the summer in Trafford is just around the corner, scheduled for Sunday, July 7. Trafford Council and Lancashire Cricket Club have once again teamed up to present Trafford Live, a special family-friendly festival celebrating Trafford's 50th anniversary as a metropolitan borough. The event coincides with Lancashire Cricket's Vitality Blast fixture against Worcestershire Rapids, starting at 2:30 pm.

Trafford Live promises a variety of entertainment, activities, sports, and cultural events, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. Trafford Mayor Amy Whyte expressed her excitement, stating, "Trafford Live is always a fantastic event. It's wonderful to see so many families having fun, and this year promises to be another great occasion. I look forward to seeing everyone there."

The festival will take place at the town hall grounds on Talbot Road and the Fan Village at Emirates Old Trafford, with free entry for all. Visitors can look forward to a range of events, activities, and displays showcasing the borough's sports, history, and culture, catering to both young and old.

Entry to the Emirates Old Trafford Fan Village is free, while tickets for the Vitality Blast match are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for juniors. Trafford residents can enjoy special ticket prices, with children's tickets starting at £1 and adult tickets at £10.

In celebration of Trafford's 50th anniversary, the winner of a 50th birthday card competition will be announced during the event, with the children's creations displayed for all to see.

Lancashire Cricket Club chief executive Daniel Gidney said, "We're excited to partner with Trafford Council for Trafford Live once again. Our relationship with the Council is fantastic, and we're thrilled to be part of this family event for the fourth time. It's a great opportunity for the people of Trafford to support their local team, and we hope to see even more residents at Emirates Old Trafford this year."
